In response to recent media speculation regarding the launch of a new TV channel, senior journalist and media founder Satish Raj Goravigere has offered a measured clarification. While acknowledging that plans for a television channel are indeed under consideration, he emphasized that the process is still in its foundational stages and not something being executed in haste.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Satish Raj stated, “Yes, there have been ongoing discussions and groundwork, but launching a television channel is not a small undertaking. It requires deep planning, infrastructure, a committed team, and time.” He added that if preparations proceed as expected, the team aims to launch the channel formally on January 26, 2026, coinciding with Republic Day.
The clarification comes after a few media outlets recently carried reports suggesting that the channel launch was imminent. Satish Raj, however, expressed that while the enthusiasm is appreciated, it’s important to approach the matter with realism. “Our goal is to create something meaningful and impactful, not just another channel in the clutter,” he remarked.
