Armaan Pujani has steadily established himself as a formidable production designer, carving a niche through his distinct creative vision and an impressive array of accomplishments. His work has been lauded in several prestigious film festivals, both in North America and globally, a testament to his growing influence in the industry. From short films to major productions, Mr. Pujani's achievements demonstrate his exceptional technical skills and artistic vision.


"JEROME" – A Celebration of Diversity and Excellence
One of Armaan Pujani's standout accomplishments is his work on the short film JEROME, which has gained critical acclaim across various film festivals. Jerome was a Showcase Finalist for the HBO Short Film Award at the 2023 American Black Film Festival (ABFF), a renowned platform celebrating diversity in Hollywood. ABFF, with its 27-year history and 40,000 attendees, is one of the most significant events in the Black film and TV community, making this recognition of Pujani's work even more meaningful.


Further cementing his reputation, Jerome won the Audience Award at the Cine Gear Expo 2023. This event, which draws industry professionals from around the world, showcases cutting-edge filmmaking technology, highlighting the technical sophistication of Pujani’s production design. The film also earned an Honorable Mention for Best Narrative Short at the Urbanworld Film Festival, another prestigious festival that consistently showcases critically acclaimed films from Hollywood studios and indie filmmakers alike.

The Montreal International Black Film Festival, Canada's largest of its kind, awarded JEROME with an Honorable Mention for Best Short, adding to Mr. Pujani’s growing international recognition. 

"MIS-ALIGNMENT" – Festival Favorite
Mr. Pujani's talents were also on full display with his work on Mis-Alignment. The film was selected for the Palm Springs International ShortFest 2024, where it was nominated for both Best Student US Short and Best Midnight Short. This BAFTA, Goya, and Academy Award-qualifying festival is one of the largest showcases of short-form cinema in North America, placing Pujani’s production design on an elite platform.

Other significant selections for Mis-Alignment include LA Shorts 2024, which has long-standing reputations for highlighting exceptional short films, with LA Shorts, in particular, being a breeding ground for Oscar-nominated filmmakers.

Collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh – "FEEL MY LOVE"
Mr. Pujani's work extends beyond short films into music videos, where he served as production designer for the hit video Feel My Love, featuring Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh. The video amassed over 5.8 million views, highlighting Pujani’s ability to bring a visually dynamic experience to a broader audience. The collaboration with Dosanjh, who has reached international fame, further elevated Pujani’s profile.

Other Notable Projects
Pujani's role as art director for We Met At CampJane Austen's Period Drama, And Made In Heaven Season 2 further underscores his versatility across different formats. These projects were featured at major festivals like Inside Out Toronto 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and the Tribeca Film Festival, showcasing his range in both narrative cinema and television.
