The much-anticipated 3-day Pune Lit Fest commenced today at Fergusson College, Pune, under the leadership of the National Book Trust. Bringing together writers, readers, and thought leaders, the festival celebrates the enduring power of literature while exploring its intersection with technology and contemporary issues.

The inaugural day witnessed a powerful keynote address by Upendrra Rai, Chairman, Managing Director, and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express. Rai's insightful session delved into the relevance of books and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the present era, drawing a connection between traditional knowledge and technological advancement.

Highlighting the timeless value of books, CMD Upendrra Rai stated, "Books remain an eternal source of wisdom and moral guidance. In the current environment, their importance coexists with the growing role of Artificial Intelligence. While books offer a reservoir of knowledge, technology is essential for progress. Life without books is incomplete as they teach us what is right and wrong."

CMD Upendrra Rai further emphasized the transformative impact of AI, noting both its benefits and potential challenges. He remarked, "AI can process information instantly, making it an incredible tool for innovation. However, its implications for society demand careful consideration to ensure a balance between technology and traditional sources of knowledge."

In addition to his views on literature and AI, Bharat Express Editor-in-Chief, Upendrra Rai shared insights on global economic progress, drawing comparisons between the trajectories of major nations like India, the United States, and China. His observations provided attendees with a broader perspective on the interconnectedness of literature, technology, and societal growth.

As the festival unfolds, attendees can look forward to engaging discussions on topics such as literature, artificial intelligence, and global issues, fostering meaningful conversations among diverse voices.
