Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that setting up of industries in various sectors will be the top priority. New industries will come up in textile, defense equipment manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and tourism sectors.


Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Regional Industry Conclave at Subhash Chandra Bose Cultural and Information Center, Jabalpur today. He made announcements intending to encourage industries. Leading industrialists from India and abroad participated in the conclave. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that an ultra-modern skill development center will be set up in textile sector, which will benefit women by offering employment opportunities.

Industrialists from five countries and states of the country participated in the Regional Industry Conclave. It is noteworthy that an Industry Conclave was held in Ujjain in March last year. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for 29 industrial units and performed the groundbreaking ceremony for 38 industrial units, thus initiating a total of 67 units. Representatives from many states joined the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies. Investments worth 1500 crores will be made. Similarly, employment will be given to 4500 people. Intent letters were handed over for the allocation of 340 acres of land. The IT, ITES, and ESDM Policy 2023 was launched.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through 16 industrial parks, investments worth Rs 6,000 crores have been made by small, medium, and micro industries. This has provided employment opportunities to 20,000 people. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is result of coordinated efforts that inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of 67 industrial units is taking place.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that after Odisha, Madhya Pradesh is second in the mineral sector. Transparent processes of auctioning mines have been considered leading in the country. For this, the Government of India has also encouraged them. Diamond cutting will start in the state.

Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi's capable leadership was mentioned by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, saying that India has earned a distinct identity in the world.

Industrialists invited to MP

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav urged industrialists to come to Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Yadav said that the state has encouraging policies in the labor sector. In the last two to three years, employment opportunities have been increased through universities. There were only five medical colleges in the state, whose number is going to be 25. There is a dense forest area in the state. Opportunities will also be realized in this area. As many as 275 units are working in the pharmaceutical sector. There are 60 units in Pithampur alone. Pharmaceutical products are exported to more than 160 countries from.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state is focusing on food processing sector. Relief has been given to industries on water and electricity supply. Two mega food parks are coming up. Eight food parks are already operational. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav urged the MD of Volvo Eicher to start a research center in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated an exhibition related to industrial development at the beginning of the inauguration session and reviewed the displayed pictures. A description of raw materials by various small industrial units and entrepreneurs under Jabalpur Haat was presented in the exhibition.

At the beginning of the inaugural session, the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department and the Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister, Shri Raghavendra Kumar Singh, welcomed the industrialists. Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana was present.

Representatives from various industrial organizations, including Adani Power, Netlink, Vaidyanath Group, Davat Foods, Volvo Asher, A V N L, Swaraj Shooting, Lohia Energy, Infosys Dubai, and Dalit Chamber of Commerce (DCCI), were present among the dignitaries.

Principal Secretary Shri Raghavendra Kumar Singh gave a presentation on Madhya Pradesh's investment policy and investment opportunities. He highlighted the unique features of industrial infrastructure and industrial corridors in the state's investor-friendly industrial policy. He shed light on subsidies and financial incentives in the industrial policy. Along with this, all investors were invited to participate in the Global Investor Summit to be held in Bhopal on February 7-8, 2025.

A short film highlighting the special features of Madhya Pradesh was screened. More than four thousand investors gathered at the Jabalpur Regional Industry Conclave. Entrepreneurs engaged in one-on-one discussions for investments. The conclave focused on five sectors: agriculture, mining, defense, tourism, and garments industry.

Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari, Principal Secretary of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, presented the current status of MSMEs and startups, their contributions to the economy, future prospects, and opportunities. He briefed on the various sectors within the skill sector, benefits of the MSME policy, and incentives for investments.

Shri Nikunj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary of Mines, presented opportunities for investments in various mining-related industries and possibilities for exploration. He informed investors about the straightforward and transparent online process for mining auctions and the availability of licenses. Information on the information technology sector in Madhya Pradesh and its potential for investors was also shared.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the guidelines for the Madhya Pradesh IT, ITES, and ESDM Investment Promotion Policy 2023. Investors expressed confidence in Madhya Pradesh's leadership, foreseeing it as a leading state.

Representatives from various sectors, including industrialists, industry associations, bureaucrats, and major foreign delegates, participated in the conclave. Over 4,000 stakeholders contributed significantly, marking a milestone in the state's industrial development journey.

Various sessions with more than 700 buyers and sellers facilitated discussions between businesses and potential investors. Approximately 30 one-on-one meetings were held between the Chief Minister and leading industrialists. Additionally, letters of intent were issued for the allocation of 340 acres of land to 265 units, expected to create employment for 12,000 people and generate investments worth ₹1,800 crores.

Under the Smart City initiative in Jabalpur, the state government announced the allocation and distribution of funds to startups. Regional sessions involving more than 30 speakers and panelists, including senior officials, discussed specific opportunities in tourism, garments, defense, agriculture, food processing, and dairy sectors.

Minister of Public Works, Shri Rakesh Singh, said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav's vision aims to take the state to new heights. There are immense possibilities for development in the state. He stated that investment flows only when there is a possibility of investing in that sector. Jabalpur's climate, environment, labour force, and their positive mindset are advantageous for industrial development. It is suitable for establishing food processing units because the cultivation of vegetables, and there is a demand for green peas both domestically and internationally. From a tourism perspective, Amarkantak, Kanha, Pench National Park, and Khajuraho are major attractions centered near Jabalpur, providing suitable opportunities for hotel industry development. Bhedaghat and Marble Rocks are also favorable locations for the film industry. Jabalpur houses four defense factories, and private sector investment is also increasing in this sector. Connectivity via Jabalpur railway station and airport facilitates easy access. The state's largest flyover, the country's first geological park, and the second-largest 118 km ring road are under construction here.

Minister of MSME, Shri Chetanya Kashyap, said that the Regional Industry Conclave is a beginning that will distinguish Madhya Pradesh in the country. It started from Ujjain. This conclave will prove to be a milestone for the development of the region. Its objective is not limited to any specific area but aims for collective development of all sectors. It also aims to provide new opportunities for local industrialists, thereby creating direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Minister Kashyap highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Modi, the Make in India program has been initiated, with special focus on the defense sector. According to the vision of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, establishing a range of industries in the state will promote industrialization. The MSME sector plays a significant role in the economy. Plans are also proposed to establish new industrial units in all 16 districts of the state.

Sampatiya Uikey; Minister of Tourism and Culture, Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi; Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, Shri Lakhan Patel; MPs Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Sushri Lalita Yadav, Mayor of Jabalpur Shri Jagat Bahadur Annu, and other public representatives.
