These days the simplicity of village life is quite missing in our cinema. Today's generation is not even aware of how rural life feels and looks like. The charm of rural life has been ignored at the expense of ever evolving and ever changing lifestyles in big cities. But the upcoming social drama Hindi Feature film 'Manihar' is quite different which is based on a story set in the midst of rural India. Released today on Zee Music, the first song of the film'Pehna De Choodi' also reminds us of our roots and hence it is needless to say that the song upon its release is being quite liked by everyone.

The meaningful lyrics of 'Pehna De Choodi' has been written by Salim Begana, it has been beautifully sung by Gul Saxena and the song has been melodiously composed by Asif Chandwani.

Produced under the banner of Jayshree Movie Productions and MS Studios, the film has been jointly produced by Namrata Singh and Mayank Shekhar while Sanjeev Kumar Rajput is the director of the film.

Interestingly, the film showcases the simplicity of rural people and the way they live in their own little world. The protagonist of the movie is a 'Manihar' (a bangle seller) himself who earns his livelihood through selling bangles door to door in his village. The song 'Pehna De Choodi' has been picturized on the leading actor of the film which has been fantastically played by Badrul Islam and Roshni Rastogi.

While talking about 'Manihar' Sanjeev Kumar Rajput, the writer director of the film said, "Manihar showcases the vibrant life and culture of ruler India which has been now forgotten by the new generation. The film revolves around a Manihar (a bangle seller) who is suffering from night blindness, a disease common in rural areas. The film is an honest effort to take you back to your roots where actual India lives. Each song in the film is also a reflection of the spirit shown of the movie. We are glad that our first song 'Pehna De Choodi' has instantly struck a chord with the people."

Producer of the film Mayank Shekhar said, "The storyline of the film is quite different from the movies usually we see these days. The music complements the subject of the film thoroughly rooted which will surely remind you of your own villages and make you quite nostalgic."

The other producer of the film Namrata Singh said, "We never thought that the first song of the film will be liked and appreciated so much on its release day itself. The film has more gems like these, which I am sure everyone is going to love them."

Apart from Badrul Islam the film stars Pankaj Berry, Sunny Thakur, Roshni Rastogi, Ehsaan Qureshi, Krishna Bhatt, Ramesh Goyal in pivotal roles. The Film is Co-Produced by Manish Ojha, Alka Verma and Anju Lata.'Manihar' is releasing Soon in theatres. Initially the makers have planned to release the film in about 300 to 350 cinemas across the country.
