In 2018, Rashi Arora was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite the immense challenges, she faced her diagnosis with remarkable courage and determination. In 2023, the cancer relapsed, spreading to various parts of her body, including her bones, brain, and liver. The disease, identified as HER2-positive breast cancer, has significantly tested Rashi's resilience and the family's resolve.
Rashi has been receiving treatment at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, HUDA City, where she has undergone extensive medical care. The financial burden of this journey has been enormous, with over INR 50 lakh already spent on her treatment, exhausting all available resources, including medical insurance.
The family is now at a critical juncture. Rashi urgently requires a specific medication - Trastuzumab deruxtecan (ENHERTU)—which is crucial for her treatment. The cost of this medication is approximately INR 1 crore per year, a financial burden that the family cannot bear alone.
