India ranked at 126 in the Global Happiness Index in 2023. People were generally found to be unhappy and stressed with social stigmas prevailing in the country and lack of opportunities. Mental Health studies have also revealed that the environment and things happening around you can impact your mental health directly. Caste Discrimination, Unemployment, Human Exploitation, Poor Healthcare Facilities, Lack of Nutrition and Unjust Access to Resources are key contributors to the added problems faced by marginalised communities of the country. A few people have worked on these problems and one of them is Dr. Praveen Chakravarthy, a renowned social worker from southern India's Andhra Pradesh.

Rock-Solid Determination and Will to Help
Dr. Praveen Chakravarthy has been leading as an example from the front ever since he gained the core values of honesty and empathy from his family of social workers and educators. Since 2012, Praveen has impacted millions through his work. Undeterred by challenges, his zeal to leave an indelible mark on the society has been widely recognised at both the domestic and global levels.

A Journey of Rehabilitation and Social Justice
Praveen Chakravarthy set out on a journey about a decade ago in order to explore the most remote villages and areas in the country. During his voyage, he discovered how even after becoming technologically well-equipped and economically developed in many forms, these areas were struggling for basic resources. After connecting with locals and understanding the problems, Praveen helped them to get access to basic resources like water and education. Moreover, he built a community that could independently support each other without any external interference. Working closely with local NGOs and through his own organisation SYLOM he actively worked to eradicate caste discrimination, hunger, child labour and illiteracy from various remote areas of the country.

Fostering Unity and Empowerment
Dr. Praveen Chakravarthy's initiatives helped everyone alike, caste, race, religion or gender, nothing mattered to him when it came to helping marginalised sections of the society. From organising workshops to skill building seminars, Praveen helped many to become self-reliant, especially women. He invested in small scale businesses, and monitored their growth so that they could stand in the market. He has fostered unity and empowerment to millions focusing on a holistic approach.

Spiritual and Social Transformation
Praveen Chakravarthy's journey as a social worker is deeply rooted in his inclusive spiritual beliefs. He holds a profound respect for all religions, embracing Christian, Hindu, and Muslim faiths alike. His philosophy is simple yet powerful: true blessings come from serving people, regardless of their religious background. This inclusive spirituality has not only shaped his personal beliefs but also fuelled his mission to uplift and support those in need. Praveen's spiritual journey is intertwined with his commitment to social work. He believes that serving humanity is the highest form of worship. Serving is the ultimate virtue that helps him connect with the divine.
