“In my mind, I visualize how a particular… sight will appear on print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice.” – Ansel Adams

He says, “Being a Photographer was a dream for me. All I ever wanted to be was a storyteller. I remember having no plans or strategies on how to choose the right direction. I used to participate in various contests despite lacking capital or proper resources. However, people started recognizing me when I won a contest by JK tourism. That was the turning point of my life.”
Aamir's vision is to show people his perspective & the beautiful viewpoint of Kashmir, instead of letting them draw conclusions watching media and official reports. He believes Kashmir has come to life from his page KASHMIRINMYLENS on IG and Facebook with more than 100K followers.
Aamir Beigh established his wedding photography brand called “Kashmir Wedding by Aamir Beigh”. He says that it gives him immense pleasure to capture all those wonderful moments of people’s lives. He states that his greatest reward is when clients praise his unique photography skills. His dream is to become one of the best photographers in the valley and spread his love for photography to others. In addition to constantly learning and experimenting with new techniques, he makes it a point to nurture young talents. He does not want them to go through struggles that can easily be resolved or avoided.
Instead, he wants them to focus on becoming good photographer.
“I did not have any fancy camera when I began my journey. I used to borrow smartphone from my friends. It is to say that when you are passionate about something, you will always find a way. I am grateful to my family and friend for always supporting and loving me. Without their support, I wouldn’t be where I am right now.”
