Saurabh Srivastava

A social activist is a person who works for the welfare of society.  However, being a social worker is not an easy task. Social activists not only think about the problems of society but also provide solutions for the problems of people. Saurabh Srivastava is a leader with a vision.  He is a man who took a big responsibility to carry forward the interest of bank officers working in India. Also to work towards enhancement of customer satisfaction. Through dedicated customer service, not just this but also to upload the dignity and self-esteem.

From his childhood days, Saurabh Srivastava is a very helping person who always takes initiative for helping others. He also did much favorable work for poor people. Especially in his leisure time, he goes to slum areas to teach children and raise their concerns to the NGOs and to the government. Not just he has been working for uplifting education for poor but has taken interest for working towards bank officers working in India as he is the National Media convenor of  AIBOC. Through his authoritative post, he wants to enhance customer satisfaction via dedicated customer service.

One might not be aware of AIBOC-  All India Bank Officers Confederation which is a symbol of hope and aspiration for Supervisory workers. Founded in 6 October 1985, it is one of the prominent trade union organizations in India. In promoting the cause of the working class among supervisory cadre employees, AIBOC has been a trailblazer. It was a driving force behind the formation of the United Forum of Bank Unions in 1997, which included all bank employees' unions and officers' organisations.

Talking about the welfare of Bank Officers, Saurabh Srivastava stated, “ Since my childhood I have been inclined towards for the welfare of society. To bring change in the society, I have always thought of doing something different and this time I am looking behind the needs of bank officers so that they can provide seamless services to their customers. I envision that through AIBOC, I will be able to help bank officers who are dealing in different sectors.”

AIBOC has been a trailblazer in supporting the working class's cause among supervisory cadre employees. AIBOC has about 3.2 million members, with the banking industry accounting for the vast majority. It has affiliates in all public-sector banks and ten private-sector institutions. It also has officers' organisations at two state-level cooperative banks, regional rural banks, and four additional financial institutions.

Under the name of AIBOC, separate Federations for Officers of the Private Sector, Co-operative Sector, and Regional Rural Banks have been established to speed up the consolidation process. Similarly, AIBOC has established State Units in every state and union territory. These Units, in turn, have established District Units around the country. Saurabh Srivastava has successfully taken step forward for the growth and welfare of such people. Looking at his courage and hardwork, it is indeed a great step by him and we need more such leaders in today’s challenging world.
