Artist Sherise Dsouza is an internationally acclaimed- award winning dynamic vocalist and singer-songwriter from India.
She performs songs in various genres such as Funk, Pop, Country, Blues, Rock n Roll, Reggae, Pop, Western Classical, Jazz, Hindustani, as well as her own compositions and is known for her vocal prowess and ability to make each song her own, no matter the genre. She has garnered nominations for multiple international awards.

Now, she has added another feather on her hat by winning a BRONZE for International Entertainer of the Year Category at the ISSA Awards 2022.
Sharing her joy on winning the award she says,"It is an amazing honour as I represent entertainers and performers all over India and the World as I recieve this award from one of the most prestigious organizations, based in the USA - The International Singer Songwriter's Association (ISSA). It has just been a surreal couple of months, and a gold-rush of great things happening – starting from becoming a Grammy Voting Member to winning Entertainer of the Year (Bronze) at the International Singer Songwriter’s Awards, this festival as well as my latest music release - 'Baby Girl' getting a lot of attention across the world, and multiple press releases about them."
The International Singer Songwriters Association was founded by Tamanie Dove, a singer songwriter born and raised in Nashville, now residing in Atlanta who is dedicated to supporting and serving independent artists, and encouraging aspiring and professional singers and songwriters in all genres of music worldwide.
Talking about how she got into music, multi-talented Sherise tells us, "I got into music at the age of 8 years old and have performed at top events like Goa Carnival, Hard Rock Cafe shows with my band 'Sherise D'souza Collective', as well as shows in Germany, France, Ireland and London as part of various choirs and collectives. My voice and music also has a radio presence on worldwide radio channels where my original music is being played everyday. I recently also won Female Vocalist of the Year at Radio Wigwam International Radio Music Awards, 2021. Being a versatile singer, I sing in different languages: English, Hindi, Konkani, Spanish, French, Marathi, etc. I also record and perform music from various genres like pop, rock, jazz, blues, rock n roll."
Sharing about the challenges she faced as an independent artist she states,"While there are challenges that I face every day as an independent artist, a few of them are: getting sponsorship for creating quality music, promoting my music so that I can earn from my plays on digital distribution as well as radio. Whilst being my own manager, I have learned a lot by working end-to-end from problem to resolution as well as dealing with behaviour types and responding to situations on-the-go. This has made me sharpen my analytical skills and become better at thinking on my feet."
Speaking about from where she draw her inspiration for song writing she adds,"My own life experiences as well as current affairs and things happening around us that affects our planet, inspires me to write songs and compose music that people would love to groove to and make my audiences more positive and energetic."
Lastly she adds about her future projects and aspirations. She shares,"My future aspirations are to work and collaborate with Grammy Winning Artists, Producers and Engineers and take my music to the next level, while learning from the best! I also aim to go on tour accross the world with my originals. I am excited to be releasing another single, this year, which my fans will surely love! I also feel extremely happy that I am starting to go on tour with my music. I have the opportunity to showcase my music to a large audience in Kerala, thanks to the International Independent music festival -Inaugural edition at Trivandrum.
