Continuing with the trend of “Indian English Writers”, Vasvi Tiwari is a new name that has quickly managed to gain recognition. The Journey of her writing started from her poetries and short stories, she wrote as a young child. However, her talent found its first opportunity during the pandemic when she decided to pen down her work into immersive reads.

Vasvi hails from a quint town of Allahabad (Prayagraj) in Uttar Pradesh where she completed her studies and pursued her carrier as a third generation lawyer in Mumbai. She discovered her passion for writing and since then she has two acclaimed works to her credit ‘The Bedford Tearoom” and “House As We Knew It”.
Her first book ‘The Bedford Tearoom’ is a masterpiece in historical fiction. Set in the Regency England, the story unfolds life around a prominent tearoom run by the protagonist Vivian and her aunt Bernice. The narrative has an insight into the fascinating Victorian times. It is not only entertaining but also a witty. Both plot and characters bear a fine testimony of Tiwari’s fluid writing.
In her recent publication ‘House As We Knew It’, Vasvi has deftly weaved the life of 1980s capturing the essence of the by-gone era. The author has skillfully created a realistic picture of family life of 1980s with an ability to transport the readers into the past. Amidst the nostalgic portrayal she has successfully captured the family relationships and the bond that defines their existence. The emotions are deeply resonating and the theme, within a backdrop of a quaint town is unique.
When asked about being a life in the literary space, she said, “. It is exciting to write but it takes its significant effort and time. To many it is appeals an easy job. I was listening to one of the legendary authors recently and interestingly; he said author is always working. The fact that we model life around us in writing our inspiration can be person we meet in store or someone sitting in café and so on. What I am meaning to say that our minds are working without a pause. It is like any other job or employment.
