1) You have multitasked and invested across various business verticals? Was it challenging ?
Ans: It’s important to have an eye open for the right opportunity and the ability to back it with the right investment.I always keep in mind the fact that emotions and business do not go together. Whenever I have invested in a business or plan to make an investment my planning mechanism always figures out an exit plan first and then see the viability of achieving that. I have been part of 4 companies listed on the National Stock Exchange, 2 in founder and executive director capacity and 2 in independent roles and know how to handle the nuances of the corporate world. The nuances we learn from these enriching experiences, we bring them on table when we seek to invest in companies. The real challenge in doing so lies in making everyone believe the same vision, as once we have that half the battle is won. Right execution and perfect team and the right belief can take you places.
2) What are your business opportunities ?
Ans: As a business person I have achieved in my career revenues across various business verticals over 1 billion USD, in various roles with that Of an investor or founder or as a business consultant. Pandemic has given hope to the otherwise stagnant and slow moving businesses in the sense that new opportunities are coming daily. We seek to invest and create a dynamic portfolio across the sectors which we have been closely associated with. The problem of having a good team to work with you also seems to be resolved as many potential talents are looking for new and challenging endeavors globally. We have identified markets where we see potential in such times and they could be game changers if the plan is executed well.we are looking to expand deeper in Asian and African markets. North America and Europe currently top our new business expansion plans. We have raised over 18 million usd to start with as the first round of investments.
3) What Do You Expect the Investment to Do for Your Portfolio?
Ans: I think with a highly skilled & specialized knowledge of investing it would be easier to build a portfolio with a better experience. Many people invest into ventures with potentially great business plans, I invest in people and build human relations because as an astute business person, I have learned that investing in people will not just build a long term robust business foundation but will get you potentially much higher & exponential ROI”. People should understand that tangible businesses wil always stay. There is a new form of investments in the way of crypto currency and NFT’s which is drawing the attention of a lot of young talent but we believe that tangible businesses are going nowhere in the near future and like to be control of things instead of the other way round. Minimizing risks, identifying and onboarding the right talent and a sustained way of investing in tangible businesses, I think your investment portfolio should be sound and solid.
4) How would you describe SIRKUS and Life after the game changing IPO.
Ans: SIRKUS is India’s first & only nightclub across the Indian continent to be listed on the national stock exchange. I ran the club Sirkus like any corporate business instead of managing it like a typical traditional hospitality business. In a short span, I have taken the valuation of Sirkus over 6 million dollars for a single standalone club. Now this is seriously unprecedented in its category. Having achieved that, which in fact was the most challenging business in terms of complexities faced, I feel more fearless and the belief has gone sky high in following your instinct and most importantly Believing. Businesses are like small babies, if nurtured and groomed well they can become exactly how you envision them to be and sometimes outperform your expectations.
5) What is CKP Leisure Ltd.?
Ans: CKP Leisure Ltd is the heart and soul behind SIRKUS. It brilliantly demonstrated a Night Club to be listed on NSE for the first time ever and it happened through a perfect combination of perfect expertise of a highly competent team, ingenious strategy, out of the box inventiveness, divergent thinking backed by detailed planning, resourcefulness and networking advantage. It seems the actual trade secret CKP Leisure Ltd. 's success story seems to be hidden in its inherent advantages and is all set to create one of the smartest successful globally Indian conglomerates.
6) What’s the main motive behind being successful in Investing?
Ans: The beauty of an investment lies in the successful exit of the business. Multiple business ideas come to my mind and I choose very emotionally in terms of what I want to do. You have a fair share of failures but do not give up chasing what you truly believe in. Failure only teaches you to choose the right from the wrong. Apart from the money, I think business investments should also be about doing good overall whether it’s giving back to society in different ways or whether it’s growing as a team. As the head of the family in a business I truly feel and believe that we can only grow if the intent is to take everyone around you along with us in the ride to success.
