In present covid times CareerNaksha is making an impressive difference in rural, semi-rural and underprivileged areas of Gujarat particularly in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Saurashtra, Jamnagar, Bhuj, North Gujarat, South Gujarat, and Kutch region.
CareerNaksha started working three & half years ago and over the period the social cause for bringing career awareness, career clarity and financial freedom through right mentoring, right skill matching and right access to education for rural students in high school has exponentially extended. The results have shown more equitable educational access for all students whether a girl or a boy. Along with this it also provides the students with various career options, educational options and skills based learning after finding the gaps or assessing the students on their capabilities. Students become more employable, job-oriented and acquire skills based on their strengths and market requirements. This results in the reduction in the dropout ratio and brings about the social sustainable impact.
As a part of the growth journey, CareerNaksha has collaborated and joined hands with several organizations that support the purpose of equitable education, career awareness, psychometrics based counselling and 21st century skill based learning in coding, dramatics, counselling, music, content etc. as per the need of the market and demand. It has taken over sustainable projects with large corporates like L&T and smaller NGOs in the past for employee engagement, volunteering online and offline mentorship. This helps in giving practical real life industrial exposure to students of rural and underserved communities. The intent is to connect the industries with the students at the grass-roots level so they get access to such valuable experiences from industry professionals or experts. Apart from the corporates, CareerNaksha also works on government projects. The education ecosystem in rural areas doesn't really match up with the ones in urban areas. There are villages/towns where parents and students are not very aware of market career options and the importance of career development as a whole. To work on that part particularly, CareerNaksha involves foundations and government bodies at the grassroots level to create an impactful movement. District Education Officer (of Vadodara) recently granted a blanket letter for CareerNaksha to conduct online and offline career counselling, skill development, and psychometric testing for more than 250 schools across Vadodara district. The difference is surely bigger when the government joins hands to serve society with a sustainable long-term cause. CareerNaksha has now accomplished multiple such online webinars and seminars locally with the help of Sarpanchs in off locations. In the past they have achieved success in doing large scale projects where it connected Sarpanch, local representatives and delivered career counselling online without having to travel during covid times. One such project was in Rajasthan where more than 20+ Sarpanchs of different villages joined hands.
