Bouffage
Everybody dreams of a cafe that checks out all the boxes, from great food and coffee to lively ambience to entertainment. Anshul Jaiswal from Nagpur made this dream a reality with his talk of the town Bistro, Bouffage. Bouffage, which means a grand feast, sums up the idea and vision behind the hospitality venture.

Anshul Jaiswal has a family history with the hospitality business, as his family has been running a range of bars and liquor stores across central India for more than 30 years now. When Anshul went for higher studies in Australia, he got to experience a broader spectrum of the hospitality industry. That’s when the seed was sowed in his heart.
After returning to India and taking the charge of the family business along with his brother Dewansh Jaiswal, realized that this business only catered to a small chunk of the potential consumer base in Hospitality. Now this was the time to reap the idea which was planted in Australia. Anshul & Dewansh both decided to widen the reach and envisioned the restaurant, now known as Bouffage, to create a place that appeals to everyone.
Anshul says, ‘With the generational transition happening and average consumer age dropping, there was one constant thing people loved, food, which was the only thing that made them come back to a place. So we made food our primary focus in quality, quantity and variety.’ Bouffage serves over 400 items on its menu, right from Indian to continental and even specialty coffees and herbal teas. Dewansh says, ‘ You can pick any item from the menu with your eyes closed and you won’t be dissapointed.’
‘We want to cater to people of all ages and all sorts of taste buds too.’ Anshul adds. Apart from food, Bouffage has become a regular host of numerous events including Poetry open mics and Stand up comedy shows in the city. With Bouffage Cafe & Bistro in its 5th year, Anshul Jaiswal and team have recently launched 2 more outlets in the city. ‘My family started this business with one bar in 1985 and soon we had 8 bars in the city. I want to replicate the same model with my new venture and I want to do this across the country, maybe overseas too’, Anshul adds. Well, here's hoping for the best!
