On November 16, DRDO successfully tested India`s first long-range hypersonic missile from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha. The missile, designed to carry different payloads over distances greater than 1,500 km, can be used by all branches of the Indian Armed Forces. During the test, various tracking systems were used to monitor the missile’s flight path. The missile was developed by DRDO’s Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex.
