Gunshots fired at Sukhbir Badal outside Golden Temple, Incident caught on cam

In a shocking incident on Wednesday morning, 4th December, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked outside the Golden Temple in Amritsar. While performing his duty as a ‘sevadar,’ Badal, who was sitting in a wheelchair with a fractured leg, was shot at by an assailant. The bullet missed, hitting a wall instead, and Badal escaped unhurt. The attacker, identified as Narain Singh Chaura, was quickly overpowered by people present at the scene and handed over to the police. Authorities have confirmed that security arrangements were in place, and the attacker’s attempt to cause harm was unsuccessful. Badal, who is serving a religious penance for alleged misdeeds during the SAD government, was offering ‘seva’ as part of a punishment issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Holding a spear in one hand, Badal, in a blue `sevadar` uniform, was at the entrance of the Golden Temple in his wheelchair, serving his punishment. The entire incident was caught on cam. ...
