Who gave you the greatest pleasure? Kerala cop asks gang-raped woman

An account posted on Facebook by well-known dubbing artiste Bhagyalekshmi about a woman who was allegedly gang-raped by her husband's friends has gone viral shocking everyone.

The woman was not only humiliated by her husband friend's but also was forced to withdraw her complaint because of humiliation by the police. In a Facebook post, she said that the police officer allegedly asked the woman, "Which one of them gave you the greatest pleasure?

According to Bhagyalekshmi, a woman from Thrissur, whose name has not been disclosed yet, along with her husband came to her residence three weeks ago wanting to speak to her about the rape. The horrific incident reportedly happened two years ago and involved four men including a local politician, all of whom were her husband's friends.

The 35-year-old told her that earlier this year, when her husband was away, four of his friends came to her house in Thrissur, around 280 km from state capital Thiruvananthapuram, and claimed he was in hospital. "She trusted them...so she went with them, but they took the car to a different route, outside the city," says the post.

"She was taken outside the city, raped by four of her husband's friends one after the after...One of them holds a high post in a political party," said Bhagyalekshmi.

The woman said she could tell her husband only three months later, in August. "Such was her fear and pain..." the post said.

Initially, the woman was too broken to file a police complaint and but when she did after three months, the police made things worse. ''Answering the questions of the police was a mental rape for me. May be they tortured me mentally because they knew that I had no evidence. It was good that Nirbhaya, Jisha and Soumya died or else they would have tortured them like the Suryanelli girl was with inappropriate ques tions for the last 16 years,'' Bhagyalekshmi quotes the woman on her FB post.

The post forced the chief minister's office to intervene and promise action. The CM Pinarayi Vijayan sought more details from Bhagyalekshmi. who revealed that the woman was scared that the gruesome details of the rape would be out in the open.

The survivor has two children. Prabha Varma, special secretary to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, said that the matter will be taken up seriously.
