The cast of Dream Girl are on a promotional spree. They have been visiting various cities promoting the film. Recently, Ayushmann Khurrana, Nushrat Bharucha and producer Ekta Kapoor paid a visit to Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai to seek blessings from Ganpati Bappa.

For the Andhadhun actor, who had been living in Mumbai for 11 years, this was his first visit to Lalbaugcha Raja. He shared pictures of his visit on his Instagram handle in which he can be seen standing in front of the idol with eyes closed, head bowed. He wrote, "I have been living in Mumbai for the last 11 years. This is the first time I have come to the court of 'Raja of Lalbagh'. I am happy. My heart is full of gratitude. Ganpati Bappa Morya."

Producer Ekta Kapoor also shared a video of the visit on her Instagram account. She captioned it has: "#lalbaughcharaja ! GANNU DADDY!"

In the movie, Ayushmann essays the role of a young man imitating female voices which leads to hilarious results. A fortnight ago, the makers of the film dropped the trailer of the quirky family entertainer, which is already winning hearts. Apart from the hilarious behind-the-scene videos, the makers have released four hit songs, Radhe Radhe, Dil ka Telephone, Dhagala Lagali, and Iq Mulaqaat which have been widely loved by the fans.

In a recent interview, Ekta Kapoor divulged into why she felt Ayushmann is the best choice for playing Pooja aka Dream Girl. "When we heard the script, I heard it from Raaj and of course, I was on the floor. I said, you know you need only one actor I think who can do the voice modulations, who will work that hard and that's Ayushmann. but I was so sure that just do me a favour, that man bets on scripts. I said he will not see how big the director is, whats his resume, how many 50 films he has made. He will read the script. I told that he will find in himself the ability and it takes a lot to be a woman. Really, really talented man and to be a woman."
Boasting of a crackling ensemble cast of Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Nidhi Bisht, Rajesh Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee, and Raj Bhansali, Dream Girl is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, and is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. Dream Girl is all set to release on September 13, 2019.
