A video of a girl verbally attacking and confronting an elderly man for allegedly molesting her on board an Indigo Airlines' Mumbai to Bhubaneshwar flight has gone viral.

The 62-year-old man, who was sitting behind the girl, allegedly slipped his fingers through the gap in the seat gap to touch her.

The description of the video reads, “This man on the seat behind mine, put his fingers in the seat gap to touch me!!! I was very shocked for sometime, to react.”

Shocked, the girl took a little time to react. But when, just before the flight landed, the Singapore-based Indian businessman tried to touch her again, she confronted him. This took the man aback and he quickly backed off.

Hearing her shouts, many passengers came forward to see him and the Indigo crew stood by her in support.

The video shows her shouting at the old man, who is cowering next to the window, trying to hide, and asking for forgiveness.

The girl then tells him that she is recording the incident so that he remembers it.

She also says that she clicked his pictures, recorded videos, and shouted loud enough for all the passengers aboard the plane to be made aware. “I made sure I humiliate him as much as possible because I know law will do nothing”, she concluded.

The girl informed the crew, who in turn informed the ground staff at the Bhubaneshwar airport. The CISF was alerted and the man was detained by the local police.

The businessman's passport has been seized and he has been charged under Section 354(A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
