Kajol makes her comeback to Tamil cinema after 20 years with the sequel to the hit movie 'Velai Illa Pattadhaari'. She had earlier acted in the Tamil film 'Minsara Kanavu', starring Prabhu Deva and Arvind Swamy.
"I wasn't sure if I wanted to do so much homework, that too for a role in another language," said Kajol in an earlier interview to mid-day.
Kajol said that it took a great deal of cajoling on Dhanush's part for her to sign the movie.
"It was all because of Dhanush and Soundarya Rajinikanth (director), who really made me feel comfortable. In fact, the convincing point was that 50 per cent of my dialogues would be in English. So, I was stress-free," Kajol said.
Buzz is that Kajol plays a grey character in the film, but she prefers to stay mum and keep the suspense intact. "I have strict instructions from Soundarya not to reveal anything. All I can say is that it is very different from what you have seen of me on screen."
Over the past few years, Kajol has been selective about work in Bollywood even as she has a full-time job at hand — raising two children, Nysa (14) and Yug (7). Her last Bollywood outing was 'Dilwale' in 2015.
