As a brothel madam in her next film, Begum Jaan, Vidya Balan will be seen mouthing expletives. But, the actress did not get uncomfortable with all the cussing.

"All the abuses that I can't give otherwise, I have said it here (in the film)," chuckled Vidya at the trailer launch of the Srijit Mukherji-directed action-drama set against the backdrop of the freedom struggle. It is a remake of Mukherji's acclaimed Bengali film, Rajkahini (2015), starring Rituparna Sengupta.

On a more serious note, though, Vidya said her character demanded that cuss words be used, so it was a creative call to pepper her dialogues with profanities. "The place where she comes from, she abuses a lot and easily. It [cussing] is no big deal. When I was playing the role, there was no apprehension with regard to the language. I can't be Begum Jaan and speak shayarana Urdu," she explained.

Producer Mukesh Bhatt claimed the film didn't get into any trouble with the Central Board of Film Certification aka the Censor Board, thereby suggesting the expletives were cleared.
