World’s biggest smartphone maker, Samsung Electronics, this Thursday claimed that more than 1 million people across the world are using Galaxy Note 7 smartphones with safe batteries. In the beginning of this month, Samsung initiated a voluntary recall of at least 2.5 million Note 7 smartphones as faulty batteries of some of the devices caught fire. According to analysts, this recall and crisis have cost Samsung some billion dollar loss.

The new Note 7 products that have been exchanged in foreign markets are using the same batteries like those that were used for the Chinese version. Samsung claims that these batteries are not prone to overheating or catching fire.

Samsung has taken the battery explosion of Note 7 smartphones very seriously and has also conducted inspections on those devices. The Korean giant has admitted that the batteries were not at fault, which was also admitted after an independent third part testing was conducted.
