"I was accompanied by my mother, my manager and a member of the 'Quantico' unit to the event. It was a bit strange initially since I did not know anyone else there, but got talking no less. As I had flown into LA hours before the ceremony, I downed five cups of coffee and chomped on a burger just before the proceedings began. When I land in LA, the first thing I do is order the In-N-Out hamburger — it is my favourite! And given that awards ceremonies are a long affair, I needed it to keep myself going. My stylist had lined up around 200 outfits for me to wear to the event, but I chose a Vera Wang sequined dress."
"I wanted to wear something I was comfortable in and would make it easy to move around. When my name was announced as the winner, I thought that this was the first time I have done it (act in a TV show) and I am winning an honour! Wow. It ('Quantico') was a learning experience and at the same time, it was exciting to bag an award. The awards ceremony was no different from the ones back home. It was the same chaos, same backstage rush… except that everyone was talking in English. I also presented an award to Vin Diesel for the Best Film category. We congratulated each other and spoke backstage. I was too tired to attend the post awards ceremony. My mom, manager and the 'Quantico' unit folk headed to a restaurant for our own quiet celebration. I begin shooting in Montreal for the next stint of 'Quantico' and will be back in Mumbai by April, but I might be flying in and out for a short while for my commitments back home."
