A fire broke out in the plush vicinity of Seawoods in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday night. Fire officials confirmed that fire started in phase 2 of Sector 48 on the Palm Beach Road. While the fire was doused in two hours, officials said that there were no casualties.

The incident took place at 8.30 pm on Wednesday on the fourteenth floor of the NRI Complex, a plush high-rise in the satellite city. Six fire engines -- two from Vashi and one each from the nodes of Belapur, Seawoods and Nerul, and a Bronto Skylift -- were send to attend the grade one fire.
Sources said that the fire broke out on flat number 1401. Witnesses claimed that three floors from 15 to 18 were gutted in the fire. Residents from all these floors were evacuated by the officials.
