The group has been around in the city for three years now. Venkataraman tells us that the group owns about 280 games, “We pick them up on our trips abroad, import them, or request friends to source from the countries that they visit.”
TableTop Day boasts of international geek stars and actors, Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day as its ambassadors, who also plan to donate thousands of games.
The event will have about 50 to 60 games across genres — be it war games or economic games. Depending on the person’s interest, the organisers will suggest games that people can be a part of. Some of the games that will be played include Settlers of Catan, Lords of Waterdeep, Race for Galaxy and even one based on popular television and book series, Game of Thrones. The event is open to people aged 12 and above.
