According to a report by IMD, the south-west monsoons have made their way into many parts of Maharashtra, Konkan, Arabian Sea, the other parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada and a few areas in Madhya Pradesh.

Mumbai and its nearby areas of Thane and few parts of Navi Mumbai witnessed continuous rains as well as thunder during the afternoon on Monday. Although, the India Meteorological Department has yet to officially declare monsoons in Mumbai.

According to a report by IMD, the south-west monsoons have made their way into many parts of Maharashtra, Konkan, Arabian Sea, the other parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada and a few areas in Madhya Pradesh.
Conditions are favourable for further advancement of southwest monsoon into remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Chattisgarh. Also, some parts of north Arabian Sea, Gujarat and some more parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 48 hours, said officials at IMD
