Senior Police Inspector Dyanesh Devade from Chembur police station said, "The accused has mentioned that her questioning his sexual ability angered him and in the fit of rage the accused smashed her head with a frying pan."

The deceased was staying with her two younger sisters and a younger brother in Chembur. On May 5, they had gone to their native place in Jaipur after which she came back alone to the city on May 25.

"Initially, after she started ignoring him, the accused came to her residence the next day and after having intercourse, the duo fought and he killed her," added Devade.

After killing her, the accused locked up her residence and went back to his residence, however, later as she didn't answer her parents call they arrived in the city and informed the police about the situation.

"As the room was smelling from the outside, we broke the door and found her naked semi-decomposed body. Later during interrogation, it was revealed that the accused was a frequent visitor and we brought him to the police station and during inquiry he confessed the crime," added Devade.

The accused has been booked under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code while he shall be produced in court on Tuesday.
