A 26-year-old woman, on Monday, jumped to her death from the 22nd floor following a quarrel in the family.


The deceased, identified as Deepika Jadhav (26) had been married from past four years, and was living in New Hind Mill locality in Byculla. She is survived by her husband Sagar Jadhav and a two-year-old daughter.



On Monday morning, at around 10:10 am, she went to the 22nd floor of the building and jumped to death. Primary investigations by the Byculla police revealed that she did so after an argument with her husband.

“The family is a native of Pune and we have informed her relatives about the incident. The probe to understand the exact cause of her suicide is going on," said a police official.

Meanwhile, cops have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in the matter.
