A 34-year-old woman, wife of actor Sumeet Raghavan nabbed a masturbating pervert at the Marine Drive promenade on Friday night. The Marine Drive police have arrested the accused, identified as Rupak Akshad, 24, and he will be produced in the court today. The woman was there with her friends and the group was seated opposite the Intercontinental Hotel around 10 pm, she noticed the man staring at her. "At first, I ignored him thinking him he was randomly looking at us. But then, I noticed he was not only stalking us but also masturbating," said the woman.

"I immediately raised an alarm and nabbed the pervert. We called the police who were on patrolling duty and handed him over to them. They were very cooperative," she added. Sub-inspector Anil Rajput said, "He claims he is from Odisha and works in Mumbai as a labourer. He has been booked under Sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 509 (word, gesture or act to insult modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code and will be produced in court on Saturday."
