The deceased Ronald D’Souza was found in a pool of blood at his house, with stab injuries on his chest, thigh and leg. He was stabbed about six times. The murderer has touched nothing except D’souza’s mobile phone, since that was the only item that was missing.

The deceased’s 54-year-old mother Cecilia was the first to find his dead boy. She alerted the Bangur Nagar police station around 11 pm. During interrogations, the police learnt from the building watchman that after Cecilia went for her walk, their driver Bharat along with one other person had entered the building premises.

A senior officer from Bangur Nagar police station said that they do not want to jump to conclusions. They have recorded Cecilia’s statements and are trying to trace the driver.

Police says
Speaking to mid-day, police inspector Deepak Phatangade of the Bangur Nagar police station said, “We have not ascertained anything yet.

Our probe is on. We are confident of cracking the case.” A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against unknown persons under sections 302 (Murder), 307 (Attempt to murder), and 202 (Intentional omission) of the IPC.
