An awkward video of Pakistani actors, Mahira Khan and senior actor Javed Sheikh has gone viral on Twitter and across all platforms on social media. The video is from a 2018 award function, wherein, Sheikh presented Mahira with the award and went ahead for a kiss. However, in the video, Mahira is seen leaning backward and turning her face on the other side to avoid the kiss. Mahira's fans have been going berserk on social media by criticising Javed Sheikh's act of trying to kiss her and the awkwardness it has created.

However, Mahira Khan has finally reacted to the video floating around. She wrote, "I have just woken up to such silly stuff floating around. It's good to be aware and have an opinion but for Gods sake don't use anything and everything to make news. Javed Sheikh of all people! He is a legend and a mentor to all of us in this industry. Would vouch for him always (sic)."

In fact, Mahira's followers are still unconvinced with this explanation by her and have questioned her in return. "If he is your mentor then you should allow him to kiss you, don't act like a child, everyone noticed why you run away from his kiss (sic)," wrote one of her follower. Another comment read, "Well honestly you did make the legend look like a fool so that's that. I'm sure his intentions were not bad or anything, he's a senior member of our film industry. If you've said u didn't want him to do that, that would have been understandable. This tweet doesn't make sense (sic)."

Javed Sheikh is a veteran Pakistani actress and has appeared in Bollywood films such as Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's Namastey London and Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone's Tamasha. Speaking of Mahira Khan, she made her debut in Bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan's Raees. The actress was in the limelight when her smoking pictures with Ranbir Kapoor had gone viral.
