Another 11-year-old girl also came forward accusing the teacher of molesting her earlier
A Mankhurd-based madrasa teacher, identified as Jarar Ali Mohammad, 24, was caught red-handed while molesting a 9-year-old. Later, it was found that this was not the first time he had committed such a crime.

Jarar Ali was arrested on Tuesday night
The incident came to light after the victim’s father went to meet his daughter who was studying at the madrasa and found Ali touching the girl inappropriately. He then caught Ali and raised an alarm. After seeing the commotion, an 11-year-old girl told her parents who were part of the crowd that had gathered there, that she too had been a victim.
The crowd took Ali to Trombay police station and he was arrested on Tuesday night. A medical examination was conducted on both girls at Sion hospital and the police recorded the statements of the witnesses. Ali had been teaching in the madrasa where children from Jai Maharashtra Nagar and Indira Nagar of Mankhurd come to study. "We are conducting investigations to find out if he had molested any other girls," the police said.
Police says
Senior inspector Uttam Kolekar said, “A case has been registered under section 354 of the IPC and sections 8 and 11 of the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act. Primary investigations and a medical examination of the victims have suggested that there was no sexual assault on the girls.”
