After a sabbatical of almost a year, Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to face the camera again. The actress is raring to shoot for her next, Veere Di Wedding, helmed by Rhea Kapoor (Sonam Kapoor's sister). "I am excited about it. The film will roll in May. Sonam and Rhea are good friends, so the film will be special," says Kareena.

She has started prepping for the role, which also includes shedding post-pregnancy weight. "We should start with our reading sessions next month. There are four strong women characters in the film. This is the perfect time for me to do this movie, since I am in the best phase of my life.".

Last year, Kareena ensured her work didn't suffer because of pregnancy. Apart from walking the ramp at a fashion week, she also shot for a TV campaign for Sony BBC Earth when she was four-months pregnant. "I have always balanced work and my personal life. People thought I wouldn't work after marriage, but I have given three of my best performances with Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Ki & Ka (2016) and Udta Punjab (2016)."

Talking about husband Saif Ali Khan's latest release, Rangoon, being a dud at the box office, Kareena said all movies cannot be judged on the basis of numbers. "Some movies are beyond the box office. Vishal Bhardwaj's movies are always a piece of art."
