Jacqueline Fernandez is holidaying in Italy with family and Katrina Kaif is in Malta shooting for the Salman Khan-starrer Bharat. Jacqueline may be sharing happy snapshots on Instagram of her vacation, but those in the know say she is hurting. The Sri Lankan is said to be upset that buddy Salman Khan did not offer her Bharat.

After Priyanka Chopra suddenly decided to walk out of the project, Jacqueline was angling for the role, which eventually went to Kat. She was keen to team up with Sallu again after Kick (2014) and Race 3. But he felt Kat was the best bet as she was his original choice.

Well, Bharat's Malta schedule began last week on August 11. Salman tweeted a photograph of himself and captioned it: "Starting the shooting schedule of 'Bharat' in Malta, lovely country." The "Dabangg" star's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, who is co-producing the film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, had also tweeted: "'Bharat' in Malta."

For his role in the film, Salman Khan will undergo multiple look changes as its timeline is spread across decades - from 1960 till current times. Bharat also stars Disha Patani, Tabu and Nora Fatehi among others.

The film is an official adaptation of a 2014 South Korean film "Ode To My Father". It is produced by Atul Agnihotri's Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. Bharat is slated for an Eid release in 2019.
