Despite the FIR against Bhandari, Sahar police officials are yet to arrest him. The victim alleges that the cops are still just taking statements and delaying the arrest. On Wednesday the woman was called back to work and asked to rejoin her original position in the company. An inquiry has been set up against Bhandari in the matter and the matter is being investigated by MIAL’s internal complaint committee.
The woman officer told mid-day, “I am thankful for mid-day’s support. But Bhandari is still working at the same place. Even after the FIR, no action has been taken against him. My salary too is pending. I want justice and tough action against Bhandari; an example should be set, as he harassed me. I don’t know for what reasons the cops are not arresting him.”
