Three more bodies were pulled out from under the debris of the Kesarbai building in Dongri that collapsed on Wednesday taking the death toll to 13. The building collapsed at around 11:30 am on Tuesday and the rescue operations are still on.

Civic officials said that early morning on Wednesday, fire officials pulled out the bodies of two boys, seven-year-old Harbaz Idrisi and eight-year-old Saijad Idrisi. Shortly after they found 54-year-old Mohammed Isral Yamin Masuri who was declared dead when he was taken to JJ Hospital.

The fire officials also rescued a 28-year-old Alima Banu Idrisi around the time they found the two boys. She was also taken to JJ Hospital and her condition is said to be stable. Of the 13 deceased victims, four are female and nine are male. Among those who were rescued safely, six are female and four are male.

Chief fire officer P Rahangdale said that Kande sustained an injury to the first two fingers of his right hand. "He was given first aid treatment in the ambulance and then taken to Nair Hospital," he said.
