Dipti Sarna abduction: Shah Rukh Khan's character in Darr inspired kidnapper

Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad Police have arrested five people in connection with the abduction of Snapdeal employee Dipti Sarna. According to reports, a ‘stalker’ obsessed with Dipti was involved in the abduction.

The stalker has been identified as Devender, and is said to have been inspired by Shah Rukh Khan’s psychopath character in the movie Darr, and planned the abduction on similar lines. Devender, it has been learnt, has a criminal record. 

Last week, Sarna left the Vaishali Metro Station in Ghaziabad at 8.30 p.m. and took a 'shared' auto-rickshaw with three other passengers, including a woman. She was then kidnapped by the men in the auto-rickshaw who were posing as passengers. Dipti returned home a couple of days later, rather mysteriously.
