It was a day to remember for the hotel staff at a Greek resort recently after Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo left a whopping 17,850 pounds tip (approximately Rs 16 lakh).
According to British tabloid, The Sun, Ronaldo, who recently completed his 100 million pounds move to Serie A champions Juventus, made a dash to the stunning Costa Navarino resort in the Peloponnese region of Greece after Portugal's exit from the World Cup in Russia.

Ronaldo, who was in talks with Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli at the resort, was so impressed with the staff's service that he left them a huge cheque to thank them before heading to Italy for his unveiling. He has also asked the hotel management to split the figure equally among all the workers. Now, given Ronaldo's £500,000-a-week (Rs 4.5 crore) salary, that tip would've hardly burnt a hole in his deep pocket, no?
