Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to RJ Malishka Mendonca for for mosquito-breeding spots at her house in Bandra.


According to officials, mosquitoes were found breeding in a clay bowl as well as in plant pots at Malishka's flat on the sixth floor at sun-rise apartments in Pali Naka


According to the notice, Aedes mosquitoe breeding was found in a clay bowl kept under a pot as well as indoor breeding in plant pots. The notice, sources said, has been issued to Lily Mendosa, Malishka’s mother.

Sharad Ughade, ward officer of Bandra, told Hindustan Times, "We carried out a routine inspection in Bandra on Tuesday, after which the notice was issued."

The BMC can take legal action against the owners for the breeding, sources said.

Maliskha is under fire of Shiv Sena for allegedly mocking BMC through a song. Shiv Sena corporator Samadhan Sarvankar, son of Sena leader S also demanded that the municipal commissioner to file a Rs 500 crore defamation suit against the FM channel for targetting BMC.
