Although the Google Pixel smartphone outshines the iPhone 7 in low light photography, the former is slightly ahead in terms of repairability. According to a report by Firstpost, a detailed, step-by-step teardown of both phones revealed that the Google Pixel scores a 6 out of 10 on repairability score, while the Apple iPhone 7 scores a 7 out of 10.

Both scores were however miles ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Nexus 6P that have scored 3 and 2 in the past, respectively.
However, a detailed iFixit teardown revealed that most of the components are easily replaceable, which include the battery and camera modules. Furthermore, the screws are all T5 Torx.
When Google launched artificial intelligence (AI)-powered premium devices Pixel and Pixel XL earlier this month, the message was clear: The device with the personal Google Assistant built right in sounded the threat bugle for Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
The comparison is natural, especially in the absence of another flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which leaves Google and Apple fighting for the premium segment.
