Sidharth Malhotra's parents have flown in from New Delhi to spend time with their son in Mumbai. The actor's mentor, filmmaker Karan Johar, hosted them for dinner recently. A birdie chirps to say Alia Bhatt was also present, but left early to avoid the paps.

It is said the meeting was held to familiarise Alia with her rumoured beau's parents.

Sidharth Malhotra has earlier said that he shares a 'great working relationship' with Alia Bhatt and that has only strengthened an emotional bond. Since they knew each other before debuting with Student Of The Year (2012), there is a comfort factor.

Time to admit to the relationship and avoid the friends-only tag, no?
