The director of upcoming Bollywood movie Bharat, Ali Abbas Zafar took to social media to confirm that soon he will be announcing the female lead of the film. This announcement comes at a time when Priyanka Chopra who was set to play the lead, exited from the project due to her reported engagement to her rumoured boyfriend Nick Jonas.
In his official Twitter handle, he wrote, " Yes yes yes ... we will announce the leading lady of Bharat soon.. We have been shooting Non-stop and the simultaneously preparing for international schedules...."

On a related note, 'Bharat' is set to have a character-driven story spanning many time periods and will be shot across locations in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi in India. This movie is director Ali Abbas Zafar's third collaboration with Salman Khan's after the 2016 film 'Sultan' and the recent 'Tiger Zinda Hai'.
