Seven chain-snatching incidents were reported in the city within 24 hours between Tuesday and Wednesday evening
The crimes took place in Dahanukar Colony in Kothrud, Bijalinagar in Chinchwad, NIBM road in Kondhwa, Nigdi-Pradhikaran.

In Kothrud , Bharti Deshbhushan Bastawade (57) has filed a complaint stating that while she was walking towards her society on Tuesday evening, two men came on a motorcycle and the pillion rider snatched her gold chain worth Rs 1.5 lakh.
In Chinchwad, Megha Malhar Chinchwade (35) was also walking down the road near New English School in Bijalinagar when the chain snatchers riding a motorcycle came near her and fled after snatching the chain.
In Kondhwa, Bhuma Rammurti (62) was walking home with her husband when the chain snatchers struck and snatched her gold chain worth Rs 80,000.
In Nigdi, Madhavi Suresh Ranade (68), and Sunita Laxman Mungale (42), reported similar incidents their gold chains were snatched near Cooper housing society in Pradhikaran.

Deepak Bhagwan Chavan, a 20-year-old youth from Shirur, has been arrested by Bund Garden police for allegedly snatching the chain of a woman from partially open window of a car. u00a0
