16-year-old girl, her friends assaulted in Ambarnath

Thane: The police are looking for four unidentified persons who allegedly assaulted and bullied a girl and her two friends in Ambarnath town of the district on Friday.

Senior police inspector V A Sonawane of Ambarnath police station said a case of molestation, assault and intimidation had been registered.

According to the complainant -- a 16-year-old girl -- four persons accosted her and her two friends when they were walking towards Moroli village.

The culprits dragged one of the boys away and hit him.

When the girl tried to intervene, they assaulted her too and forced one of the boys with her to kiss her, she said.

The culprits shot a video clip of the incident, she said.

Finally the girl and two boys escaped and rushed home.

Afterwards she got a call from a person who identified himself as 'Nikhil' and said he had the video clip showing the boy kissing her, and he was going to upload it on the internet. Police are conducting further probe.
