Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, urging the early release of pending funds to the state.
These funds are needed to implement various welfare schemes for the benefit of the people of Tamil Nadu.
During the meeting, Stalin also requested PM Modi’s intervention to safeguard the interests of Tamil fishermen.
The ongoing issue of fishermen’s safety and rights is a significant concern for the state, and Stalin called for immediate action from the central government.
After his meeting with Modi, Stalin met Congress Parliamentary Party leader Sonia Gandhi. Their discussions come ahead of an opposition rally in Kancheepuram.
