Constant pain in the armpit or one part of the breast can be an indication of breast cancer

Look for changes in breast appearance
A change in colour, with the breasts looking red or inflamed is one of the common signs of breast cancer

Check for dimples or rashes
Breast cancer is also associated with dimples, puckers, bulges, or ridges on the skin. You must also look for flaky skin, itchiness, sores, or rash

Changes in the nipples
The nipple becomes irregular in shape or sinks into the breast. You must also check for unusual discharge from one or both of the nipples

Self-examination
A self-exam should be conducted once in a month. If you do find a lump or show any of the other symptoms, make an appointment with the doctor
