DRI seizes over 7 kg cocaine in Mumbai

International drug syndicates` attempted to smuggle cocaine into the country by using various methods at Mumbai airport, the officials said
In one case, the drugs were recovered from an Indian individual`s residence in Virar after being smuggled from Nairobi via Delhi Airport
Out of the four cases, DRI nabbed two suspects in two cases who attempted to bring drugs by concealing them in hidden compartments within their trolley bags
In the other two cases, the couriers had swallowed drug capsules and had to be admitted to JJ Hospital to extract the drug-laden capsules, the officials said
In total, approximately 7 kg of cocaine, valued at around Rs 70 crore in the illicit market, was seized by DRI officers
