Google Pixel 8a: AI features to design, know everything about the new phone

Google will soon be launching its next-gen pocket-friendly Google Pixel 8a at the Google I/O 2024 conference on May 14. The new phone will have an upgrade in various key spectrums. According to the media reports, Pixel 8a will build on the strengths of its previous models to offer its loyal customers a seamless experience at an affordable price.

It is said that this new model will be drawing inspiration from the Pixel 8 series and will come with a curvier design, advanced AI capabilities, and powerful long-term software support.

Here are some key features customers can expect from the launch

Advanced AI features
Pixel 8a is likely to include the same AI features found in the Pixel 8 series. These AI features include Best Take, Audio Magic Eraser, Night Sight, and Circle to Search. These features will drastically improve the user experience and offer users the satisfaction of using a high-tech enabled phone.

Improved software
Pixel 8a has installed software that will offer security updates for seven years. This will enable users to access the latest security patches for a long period of seven years. Further, the device is expected to receive four years of OS updates, similar to its Pixel 8 series.

Camera quality
This device is said to have a dual camera similar to 7a, with 64-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultrawide shooter. This combined with the advanced AI features is highly likely to deliver exceptional photo and video quality.

Phone display and design
The Pixel 8a is expected to come in curvier edges somewhat similar to Pixel 8. According to sources, the device will maintain the same water and dust resistance feature. The display is said to be a 6.1-inch AMOLED panel.

Storage
The device is predicted to offer 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage that is a massive upgrade from the previous Pixel devices.

Pricing
The device set for launch will be priced somewhat similar to what Pixel 7a was priced at, at the time of its launch, i.e. Rs 50,000. However, these are just speculations.

Launch date
Pixel 8a is likely to be available for customers potentially around May 16.
