Wireless earphone
It isn't wrong to say there are too many choices when it comes to True Wireless earphones. Pull up any of the shopping websites, and you will get thousands of choices with varying price points. It makes things very difficult to choose. Worst of all, you end up with something that sounds horrible. This is why it makes sense to sometimes go with brands, at least there is an expected level of quality.
Unfortunately, most branded products are expensive; sometimes more than four times over the cheapest one. The Belkin Soundform has managed to strike a fine balance between both sound quality and a pocket-friendly price.
In the box, the Soundform comes with earphones, the charging case, a micro USB cable and a pair each of large and small replacement tips. The tips on the earphones are medium, however, I found them too big and had to switch to the small. The look of the all-black case and earphones is very high-end, the case itself is well built and sturdy. Pairing was simple and it did not take any kind of fiddling to get them working. The earphones themselves have a touch-based control system. It works, but there is no documentation mentioning how to use it, so you will have to fumble your way through it. The Soundform also doesn't have any accompanying app, which means you can't programme the touch controls.
The earphones have a built-in microphone, so you can take calls, the call quality is very good and the microphone does a good job. The sound from the earphones is exceptional for this price range. The device did not struggle with any music I threw at it. The overall volume is a little low in my opinion. Also, these don't have active noise cancellation, so in a loud room, they might not help you isolate enough. The pair can deliver 24 hours of total listening time with a single charge. Five hours from the earbuds and 19 hours from the case. The earphones have an IPX5 water resistance rating, which means they can survive low-pressure water situations. So, rain and sweat should not cause any damage to them. The Belkin Soundform delivers very clear mid and trebles and decent bass from a pair of tiny earphones. The 24-hour battery life and water resistance are killer features. What isn't killer is the reliance on a micro USB. For this quality, I am willing to overlook this issue. You can find these retailing for around Rs 4,200; well worth the asking price.
