You must also support it with prebiotic food resistant to fibre, such as green leafy vegetables and chia seeds. Supplements to stock up on include Vitamin B12, Omega3, and Vitamin D.

Celebrity nutritionist Shah suggests making a mouth freshener with ajwain, saunf, dry coconut, white sesame seeds, and khus-khus (poppy seeds) to help arrest post-delivery hair loss. She also advises to include at least three dates, two celery sticks and two cucumbers every day. Another remedy for hair loss is a hair spray: Boil three spoons of methi seeds and black peppercorn in one litre of water until it reduces to half. Cover and keep it overnight. Strain the next day and spray the water directly on scalp.
